Member Volunteer Support

MADCAPS junior members are required to perform a minimum of 20 hours of direct service each year, including at least 15 hours in that year's partner philanthropies (also called core philanthropies). The additional five hours, and any further hours, may be performed with any nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. There is no requirement that core philanthropy hours be completed before volunteering with other nonprofit philanthropies.

Members are encouraged to nominate new partner (core) philanthropies for approval by the Board of Directors. To do so, please email the Philanthropy Committee Chair at madcapsphilanthropoyboard@gmail.com and request a core philanthropy nomination form. Norminations are considered by the Philanthropy Committee and then may be forwarded to the Board of Directors for consideration.

*9th grade receives priority registration for TRS summer camp. After 9th-graders have the opportunity to sign up, volunteer dates will be opened to other grades.
