Current Opportunities

Serving Seniors is looking for masks for their clients. Most do not have masks and they are the most vulnerable (drop off addresses below) servingseniors.org

St. Paul Senior Services is accepting letters, cards, and artwork for their 1,500 plus Seniors Also accepting crosswords, puzzles, anything they can do in their rooms. Amazon delivery:  328 Maple Street San Diego, CA 92103 dmulvaney@stpaulseniors.org  

3 letters = 1 service hour, max 5 hours. Girls making masks can count that time for service hours. No service hours are awarded for donations ( Amazon, baked, goods, canned goods etc) While this is encouraged is you can help, Madcaps will remain focused on direct service.

2 Drop off Locations (masks, letters, cards, activities):  

  1. Michelle Riley’s house -log on to website and go to member directory for address ( bag on back gate) 
  2. St Paul Senior Services - 328 Maple Street, San Diego CA 92103. Ring the bell they buzz you in, leave on table.

Jewish Family Service in the Aging and Wellness Division Their kitchen has gone from making 400 meals a day for homebound seniors to now 1600 meals a day.  Additionally, every day, more than 100 families receive food and hygiene supplies. Please donate non-perishable food and hygiene items to be used in our drive-thru distribution. Drop off items only between 2:00pm and 4:00pm Monday-Friday at our Joan & Irwin Jacobs Campus (8804 Balboa Ave). “If you or someone you know needs assistance, please call (858) 637-3210.
